On second thoughts, perhaps a new blog name...? It's going to be about a journey which may or may not be interesting...
It began when I left my job last year. I was just itching and squirming to get out of an office run and owned by other people. I never felt part of the crowd, most of whom seemed to be from another planet - planet zog as far as I could make out. Zog is a place where we-understand-each-other-but-you-will-always-be-on-the-outside. Well, a language barrier can mean so much more than just a language barrier. Although I always understood what they were saying... little did they know. Anyhow, it's always the leaders who are to blame when mere mortals are unhappy. Enough of that.

Then I thought, 'freelance', that's what intelligent indivuals who don't fit in or toe the line usually do. But I was recovering from my dad almost dying too so it took a few months for reality to sink in: no money to pay the bills, very fast heart rate, unwelcome sweating and an angry husband. So I remembered something a very kind and funny person said to me. Join the rest of us. So I joined SAFREA, the South African freelancers' association. Well, it wasn't work straight away, no siree bob, but I did feel suddenly that my world opened up.
